Goddesses for Every Season
Published in Hardcover by Harper Collins - UK (December, 1995)
Average review score:

EnjoyableI happen to pick this book up in the library and quickly put it on my to buy list. It is fun focusing on one Goddess per week. Nancy Blair teaches me how to incorporate the Goddesses' energy into my own life. She gives meditations to help us connect to the Goddesses. Coincidently the Goddess for this week is Kali - a week when my apartment was broken into. I used the meditation to gather strength afterwards and took measures to change my life so I will no longer feel victimized. I think it is a fun book which is simple to read. It is a great book for the novice.

Goin' Down the Road: A Grateful Dead Traveling Companion
Published in Paperback by Crown Pub (October, 1992)
Average review score:

BUY THIS BOOKI have read many dead-related books, but this is by far the most interesting and well written. It's worth buying for many reasons, but the highlight for me is the chapter on Donna. If it were not for this book, I would have continued to believe all the narrow minded comments I heard about her over the years. This interview may have actually started the Donna rennaissance which culminated with the emotional welcome she received at the Philharmonia benefit in December 1997. Even if you think you know everything about the Dead you'll be surprised by this book. As we always say at our house, "it's all about the music." P.S. - Look for new Blair Jackson title scheduled for publication Fall '98!

Grains of Thought
Published in Paperback by Edwin Mellen Press (September, 1994)
Average review score:

art of the aphorist has now returnedWithout contradiction, life would be impossible. He who never doubts his freedom will never be free. Humor is the glue that keeps the frame of sanity from splitting apart. . . . The above are just a few of the multitude of treasures to be gleaned from Grains of Thought. In the best tradition of the aphorist, it has encapsulated in concise prose thoughts that sparkle with clarity at the same time as they provoke further meditation. With wit and wisdom he explores practical and metaphysical dimensions of life. From human relations, to the nature of man, to, indeed, the nature of existence, no subject escapes the sharp eye of the author. A book that may and will be enjoyed at any time.

Group Dating: 301 Ideas
Published in Paperback by Legacy Book Publishing Inc. (01 October, 1999)
Average review score:

Kudos for Clean Dating Ideas!Kudos to Blair and Tristan Tolman for yet another useful book on dating! As a high school teacher I am often asked for creative ideas on dating. I used to scratch my head when asked, but now all I have to do is refer the teens to this book (and the author's previous book, "Dating for Under a Dollar"). Good, clean, activities that keep our kids out of trouble!

Happy Valley (Northwest Reprints)
Published in Hardcover by Oregon State Univ Pr (November, 1997)
Average review score:

Very Happy ValleyThis novel about a pioneer in Oregon is very well written. I was intrigued by the struggles encountered and the relationships formed. I don't know how else i could possible describe this novel without giving the magic of its discovery completely away. It was well written and quite a page turner. I highly reccomend it to those who enjoy stories of struggle and motivation.

Hot Fudge Sunday Affair
Published in Paperback by Crest (October, 1985)
Average review score:

Another identity-switching adventure.Twins, Susan & Christine Pratt, decide to switch places again in this book, the second in the series. Christine is chosen as Queen of Centennial Week because of a paper that she wrote for the town's celebration. Since her sister Susan, helped her quite a bit in writting the paper, Christine believes that Susan should also share in the honor of being queen. The twins decide that each girl will spend time being Christine Pratt during the week-long celebration and if they pull it off, they'll celebrate with hot fudge sundaes. This is a charming story filled with adventure, romance and a pair of twins that you won't be able to forget. It is the perfect book for any young girl or anyone who's ever wanted to know what it was like being a twin.

If I Could Change the World
Published in Paperback by Luv U Books (November, 2001)
Average review score:

Both Useful and HeartwarmingThis book is beautiful. The thoughts in this book of "changing the world" are touching and inspiring. The profits of this book are being donated to the American Red Cross-Liberty Fund in memory of the victims of the September 11th,2001 tragedies. I can see how after the September 11th tragedies, this book is a wonderful way to get children to express their feelings in a more positive light. The pictures in this book are unbelievably amazing. They are bright and colorful as if I have been sucked into a cartoon of warmth. I absolutely love this book and would recommend it to children and adults of any age and I feel that this is also a book that teachers should have readily available.
